School Uniform
At Harcourt Primary we believe that uniform is very important, and all children are expected to wear school uniform. The uniform provides the children with a sense of identity and reflects the surroundings that they are in. It also creates an environment where all children are seen as equal to one another.
It is important to note that the school does not expect any clothing to be branded, but items with the school badge on it can be purchased from Channel Uniforms in Folkestone. Our uniform is non-gender specific and children can choose to wear what they feel comfortable in from the items listed below.

Jewellery and Hairstyles
For safety reasons, children should not wear jewellery to school. The only exception is small, plain stud earrings which must be removed or covered with tape for PE and sports activities. Any jewellery worn for religious observance must be discussed in person with Mr Silk (Headteacher).
Watches may be worn, but removed for PE. Smart watches with messaging or internet access are not permitted.
Hairstyles should be neat and tidy and long hair must be tied back to reduce the risk of accidents and to prevent the spread of headlice.
Hair accessories should be simple and in school colours.
